Suggested A.B. Biology Curriculum Planning Sheet (32 courses)

NOTE: With the exception of BIOL 101/102, the biology courses indicated may be taken in any order you wish. However, attention MUST be given to the timing of prerequisites for the advanced courses you wish to take; minimally, two 300-level courses are required from among the biology electives for the A.B. degree program. Students interested in research with a faculty mentor should take a lab course from the mentor during the sophomore or junior year.

* A.B. majors may take the mathematics sequences: 125/186, 161/186, or 165/186; in unusual circumstances and with the approval of the department head, PSYC 120 may be substituted for MATH 186. Those planning postgraduate coursework in the more quantitative areas of biology are urged to take 161/162/186 or 165/162/186.
