Biology majors and others interested in exploring biology

Students interested in seeing what biology is all about, especially those who are considering majoring in biology, should enroll in Biology 111 – Unity and Diversity of Biology.  This is the entry into the introductory sequence for biology majors, and it is designed for all students interested in exploring biology as well as students interested in satisfying their Natural Science with lab requirement. It is offered every fall.

Biology 111 is followed by Biology 112 – Biomolecular Foundations of Biology.  Biology majors have one more course to take, Biology 113 – Quantitative Biology.

Advanced placement?

Prospective biology majors with advanced placement credit (5 on AP exam) should register for Biology 112 or 113.

  • FYS
  • Biology 111
  • Chemistry 107 or Chemistry 103
  • Calculus (161 or xxx depending on your placement test result)
